Annual Harvest Fayre Market

Matthew Cooper Blog

Packed full of fun, food offers, cookery demonstrations, hands-on children’s activities and musical entertainment, there’s plenty for everyone to do, see and buy at our annual Harvest Fayre market.

We’re keeping our fingers crossed for a dry, bright warm day for the event – although we could be asking too much to expect all 3, but whatever the weather it will be a wonderful day for shopping and enjoying a fun day out.

Once again, we are delighted to welcome chefs from 14 Signal Regiment and will be looking forward to the menu choices they will be putting together on the day, using local seasonal produce from the market and offering customers an exciting range of scrumptious tasters.

Cookery demonstrations take place throughout the day from 10.30 onward

Things to do and see at our Harvest Fayre market:

Joining us on the day will be two of our favourite guests:

Ceri will be showing off her skills at making corn dollies and holding free easy and fun workshop sessions – everyone is welcome to come along to take part in making your very own creation to take home with you.

David Baster will also be joining us, bringing along a selection of wildlife objects for everyone to try and identify – some easy, some a bit more difficult, but great fun for everyone who has an interest in nature and wildlife.

Children’s fun craft workshops will be provided by Jackie, who will be on hand to help our little ‘crafty’ customers have fun and enjoy being creative in putting together an autumn-based design which they can take home with them.  This workshop is always very popular with all our younger visitors who thoroughly enjoy this workshop.

All activities take place approx. 9.45am – 1pm

As always, we will be offering customers a chance to take part in our fun Harvest Fayre Quiz to win a prize of a £30.00 voucher to spend at the market.

Also, ‘Guess how many Fir Cones are in the Jar’ competition, to win a prize of a £15.00 voucher.

Take part in our competitions to be entered into the draw to be in with a winning chance!
