Welsh for Business Launch with Eluned Morgan AM, Minister for Welsh Language and Lifelong Learning

Have you considered using more of the Welsh language in your business, but need free support and advice in order to do so? Come and hear more about this new exciting project in our national project launch.

How important is sense of place and what part does it play in the development of your business? How to take full advantage of the unique aspects we have here in Wales and incorporate this into your business?

There will be business information stalls in the event to answer all your business related questions.

The original launch was due to be held in St Davids on March 1st, but this was cancelled due to the weather, so we are incredibly lucky that the Welsh Government feel that it is important enough to launch such an event that links in with a local market.

Please be aware that the minister is planning a walk around the market to meet and great people and its traders, so there will be press and photo opportunities, which for a small little market in Pembrokeshire we should all aim to make the very most of this.

Can I ask that everyone attending makes the most of their stall display and produce incase you are involved in any press opportiunities, and also please be aware that you maybe spoken to about the project and any interest that you may have in it for your own business. I currently have no indication on whether they require any welsh speakers within the traders themselves.

The project is run by Welsh Government, where funding and assistance is given to small to medium businesses that would like to increase its welsh offering, this could be in the form of translation (up to a word limit), counter display materials, website, social media etc etc. With the increase in interest into the welsh language and sense of place, it would be worth your while looking into this further incase you qualify for some funding.

Because of the nature of the funding, the hospitality and tourism trade will be invited to attend the event, along with a number of dignitaries and organisations, so hopefully there will be additional people attendingthe market to usual, so please make every effort to entice them to buy and look throughout the market.
